Day 1 to Day 3 - ALOHA HONOLULU, WAIKIKI AND PEARL HARBOR

Aloha and welcome to Hawaii! You are greeted with a smile, a traditional flower lei and a transfer to your elegant oceanfront resort. Settle into island time and relax with a swim or stroll on the beach. Gather early evening with your Tour Director for a Welcome Reception, drinks and Hawaiian pupu appetizers. After a restful night’s sleep, meet one of the famous Waikiki beach boys to “talk story” about all things sand, sea and surf. If you feel adventurous, paddling out and standing up on your big board is optional. The rest of the day is at leisure to sip cocktails or read a book by the pool. The next day begins with a visit to Pearl Harbor. Take a moment to honour the military personnel killed in the 1941 surprise attack at the USS Arizona Memorial. Explore downtown Honolulu, seeing the State Capitol, Washington Place and King Kamehameha Statue at Aliiolani Hale, before a private guided tour of Iolani Palace, former home of Hawaiian royalty. At Punchbowl National Cemetery, meet a local guide and explore this famous site. Later as the sun dips below the horizon, enjoy elegant ocean-side dining and classic modern cuisine at the award-winning Beachhouse at the Moana restaurant.

Day 4 to Day 6 - MAUI, THE MAGIC ISLE

Soar high above the Pacific and enjoy the island views as you fly to Maui. Your home for the next three nights is the luxurious beachfront Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas. While here, you have the choice of three included pastimes: learn how to play the ukulele, dance the hula or visit the world-class spa? Take to the back roads the following day to explore some of the Island’s boutique farms. Sip lavender tea and sample lavender-baked scones on a tour of the Alii Kula Lavender Farm. Try the award-winning goat cheeses at the Surfing Goat Dairy. Top off your cornucopia of tasting with a refreshingly new and unique dining experience served at a beach side restaurant, renowned for its contemporary Pacific cuisine. After your highlight lunch, there’s time to stroll the shops and galleries in Lahaina and the remainder of the day is at leisure. Another care-free day awaits you in the morning. You could opt to greet the sunrise from atop a volcano, embark on a whale watching cruise (seasonal) or just relax at your luxurious resort. Later, meet a naturalist for a discussion about the ever-changing geology and formation of the Hawaiian Archipelago. Tonight, celebrate Hawaii’s culture and traditions at an authentic Hawaiian Luau. Day 7 to Day 9 - ON TO THE BIG ISLAND

Fly to Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. Wind your way through rolling volcanic hills and lush foliage to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, home to the world’s largest volcano. Visit the Jaggar Museum, look down on the Kilauea Caldera and walk through the Thurston Lava tube. three nights. This evening dinner is served at your hotel. In the morning you are treated to American estate grown chocolate at the Original Hawaiian Chocolate Factory then pure Kona Coffee on a guided walk through a coffee farm. Then step back in time at Puuhonua o Honaunau (place of refuge) National Historical Park. Explore the historic town of Kailua, viewing Hulihee Palace and Mokuaikaua Church. On the way back to the resort, learn about early Hawaiian ranch life at historic Anna Ranch. Visit the restored ranch house and, if possible, meet the on-site blacksmith, master saddle maker and leather crafter. Your penultimate day on Hawaii is entirely yours to spend as you please. Enjoy the resort’s extensive activities with your included Fun N Sun Activity Pass but be sure to leave some time to visit the colony of green sea turtles that bask on the shores each afternoon. Later, learn how to make the perfect Mai Tai, Blue Hawaiian or Pina Colada at a mixology class!
